Mariano Tubio, del Ranelagh Golf Club, alcanzó el primer lugar de la categoría G9 del Ranking de la USAGA, entidad que regula el golf adaptado en los Estados Unidos. Así concluyó su experiencia en el US Adaptive Open, primer evento de la especialidad organizado por la Alianza del Golf Adaptado en Estados Unidos.
Hacia 2021, en el Paragolfer del Daikin Madrid Open, el mayor torneo de Golf Adaptado de Europa, había salido campeón con un total de 263 golpes, a solo uno del vencedor de la categoría de Silla de Ruedas, Dennis Walters, de Estados Unidos.
En julio de 2022, en Pinehurst, había salido segundo en el certamen con 21.18 puntos; secundado por Billy Fryar, con 21.49, y Christopher Critchfield, con 23.08.
